Is my dog racist toward black people?
Yeah, I found this cute little doxin in a black neighbor hood a year ago and he was beaten rather bad so I took the little guy home and he warmed up to me and is really lovable, but the thing is. When a white person walks down teh street he just looks at them while if a black person down the street he will bark and try to bite them. Is my dog racist? also its kinda embarrassing to take him for walks cause he makes me look bad in public. Any good pet shops that sell muzzles such as Pet.CO or something like that?
Dogs can perceive differences in skin tone. If your dog is around more light skinned people, he or she will assume that is what humans are supposed to look like. When around a dark skinned person, it just doesn't look right to the dog, making him or her bark or growl. This is more predominant if you live in a community with just a few dark skinned people.
