When we get our new puppy, should we crate it with the dog we have now at night?
Assuming they get along.
The new dog we are getting is a basset hound, and the one we have now is a chihuahua.
I'd love for them to be able to cuddle with each other at night, but is it safe? If they get along i don't see the problem, but i'm still questioning it.
each dog should have it's own crate. Throwing the basset in with the chihuahua is not fair to either of them. The chihuahau will not want another dog in their space, and the basset does not need to the brunt of any ill feelings. Both deserves their own space.
