How to stop cat urinating on leather couch?
I have a 3 year old tabby who is recently urinating on our leather couch. We have been to the vet, and they said there is nothing wrong with him physically. We thought maybe it was because his litter box was in the same room as the dog crate, and it was stressful, so we moved his litter box into another room. We woke up this morning and found urine on the leather again. We have tried cleaning it with petzyme to clear the smell, but we can’t seem to get the smell out, and he keeps going back to it. How can we get the smell out of the couch, and get him to stop urinating there?
Get small mousetraps and set them on the couch. Then lay newspaper lightly over them. When the cat jumps up, the trap will spring and scare them away, but the single layer of newspaper will keep your cat from getting hurt.
As far as getting the smell out, peroxide sometimes works, but I’m not sure what it would do to your leather couch.
