How do I get my universal remote to work with my basic cable?
Okay so I just inherited an Apex tv. Unfortunately, the spot on the tv where you can manually change the channels is gone. The entire panel where the channel and volume is a hole where I can see wires. Yay. Soo... I go out last night and pick up a magnavox universal remote which is silver and black with grey buttons. I am describing it because I dont have the model number here with me. Anyways, so I have managed to get a code in it which allowed me to change channels, but the only channels that it wants to change is the channels you get when you dont have cable. I DO have cable in my bedroom where this tv is located. I have basic cable, but cable none the less. So how do I get the remote to become in sync per se with my cable channels? I am baout to throw the thing out the window if I could lift the dang thing up, but I cant. LOL
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
you should be able to go into the tv's menu mode with the menu button or on the front of your tv and change it from antenna mode to cable mode, that will fix it.
