Can you tell me how to install an electric pet fence?
Is it difficult? We were looking into electric fences to contain our 2 large breed dogs. I can't find install instructions on the web.
Hi. we have an electric radio fence. these are units that transmit a radio signal to a collar on your dog. they cost around $300. ours cover an area of 1/2 an acre, but you can change the diameter of the area to make it smaller. these units do not require wires to be dug underground and are portable. (work great for camping) they are also very effective for our large lab cross, who was always getting out of the fence we had. they are very simple to set up and the basic training is described in the package in the box. it took 2 days to train our dog to respect the boundary. very easy. I had an undergroud fence prior to this and found it a hassle and unless you buy the expensive ($1500+) models they don't work very reliably
